OMkitchen

OMKitchen is an Indian meal subscription service offering home-style cooked meals sourced locally and sustainably. Our goal was to develop a new brand identity and revamp the website design to enhance user experience. This redesign focused on effectively highlighting their services, showcasing membership benefits, and ultimately supporting users better to drive more memberships for OmKitchen.

UX

After reviewing the UX on the current OmKitchen website, I identified several areas needing improvement A key issue
was the lack of clarity around OmKitchen's diverse range of services. To address this, I refined the section copy to be clear and concise, effectively communicating the services and their benefits.

Simplifying the ordering process was also crucial, ensuring users understood the subscription and ordering workflow. Additionally, I refined the sitemap and hierarchy of sections throughout the site to enhance navigation and user experience.

Visual design

The current OmKitchen website lacked a cohesive brand identity and felt outdated. My goal was to create something fresh, vibrant, and structured with the new identity. I adopted
a bento-style design, reflecting the organisation and compartmentalisation familiar in food preparation. For the colour palette, I chose vibrant, fresh hues that feel organic, selecting greens, yellows, and beige. These colours contrast well, allowing for versatile combinations against different coloured block backgrounds.

For the photography direction, I aimed for simplicity and organisation. I chose solid backgrounds in a studio setting, along with macro close-up shots of food and ingredients. Both design and photography use circular and square compositions, ensuring a cohesive and organised aesthetic throughout. For typography, I selected a modern sans-serif font, using larger sizes for more impactful copy sections.
