EC.ONE is an independent B-Corp jeweller based in London, renowned for its commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship. Following a recent rebrand, my role was to bring the refreshed identity to life through their new e-commerce website. With their newly achieved B-Corp certification, it was essential to emphasise the company's sustainable values and achievements throughout the site. Additionally, given that bespoke jewellery represents a significant part of their business, we prioritised making this a prominent call-to-action for users.

UX Research

After analysing the analytics and user experience of the existing EC.ONE website, I identified several key areas for improvement. The site's structure required refinement, with particular attention to content hierarchy and ensuring accessibility, as the current site had notable compliance issues.

To gain a clearer understanding of their customers and business objectives, I engaged closely with the owners, which provided valuable insights into their vision for the new website. Building on this foundation, I designed wireframes that introduced a more curated, editorial aesthetic which aligned with the brand's goals.

Visual design

The refreshed EC.ONE brand focused on storytelling, highlighting their craftsmanship, sustainability, and timeless design. They sought a sophisticated, editorial aesthetic with a bold color palette and elegant typography, requiring thoughtful adaptation for a clean, user-friendly website.

I utilised generous white space within a grid system and strategically applied color to organise content. Hero banners became focal points, showcasing the brand’s story and values. This approach balanced sophistication with usability, aligning the website with the brand’s identity and user needs.
